The Bank Street Band offers eclectic and entertaining selections from 5 decades of music:  from the Chiffons to the Corrs, from Bonnie Raitt to KD Lang, the Beatles to the Eagles, and CSN&Y to the Doobies.  They love to sing great harmony (3, 4, 5, and 6-part!) play great arrangements, and honor great songwriters.  The members consist of:  Patty Pickett on acoustic and electric guitar, bass and lead vocals; Bob Craighill on acoustic and electric guitar, banjo, dobro, 12-string and lead vocals; Richie Mitchell on acoustic and electric guitar, bass and lead vocals; Rick Kenney on percussion and lead vocals; John Scalea on bass, keyboard and lead vocals; and Mark Mueller on drums, mandolin and lead vocals.

The Bank Street Band has been billed as a Country, Pop, Rock, Folk, Bluegrass, Jazz, Blues and Gospel Band.  No RAP; no heavy metal!

Their audiences are all ages, from young toddlers to old toddlers, and they play intimate in-home settings as well as large outdoor, under-the-stars (or under-the-tarp) venues.  They play for corporate events, charity benefits, private parties, night clubs and neighborhood get-togethers. The audiences are often compelled to sing and dance along.

Recently the Bank Street Band was proud to perform at a benefit for returning Iraq War Veterans.  Previously, the band performed by invitation at the birthday celebration for Reston’s founder and at the Northern Virginia Fine Arts Festival held at the Reston Town Center main pavilion.
